They are desperate to be like their child, and they are looking for advice, support, and the comfort of home. One minute they want you to leave, and the next they are asking for space and wanting to live their own lives. You are torn between wanting them to be supported and nurtured and wanting them to face the world.

Perhaps you struggle to provide for your family while still meeting your own needs. Maybe your own needs often get overlooked, or pushed aside in sacrifice for everyone else. Maybe it’s time to create better boundaries, to cultivate self-compassion, and to work on finding who you truly are.
